Climatic Wind Tunnel (CWT Two)
We have the UK’s only large vehicle full-scale climatic wind tunnel. The facility provides state-of-the-art simulation of environmental conditions for product development across all world markets.
Our CWT Two facility is now hydrogen capable having been fitted with new detection, ventilation, and integrated control systems. This facility can now accept fully fuelled hydrogen vehicles with no limit on the amount of hydrogen that can be on board.
Using our experience and facilities, customers are able to compress their development lead times and minimise their costs to deliver right-first-time products to market ahead of their competitors.
The facility is specifically designed with a large test chamber to accommodate vehicles and products from the automotive, off-highway, military and aerospace sectors.
It can simulate a wide range of environmental conditions from -30ºC to +50ºC with the added advantages of solar simulation, humidity control and a two wheel drive chassis dynamometer.
The facility allows our customers to do everything they could do with in-territory testing but with the added advantages of guaranteed, repeatable conditions and lower overall costs.
